Scholarship Overview

  Scholarship Benefits

The University of Twente Scholarship offers substantial financial support to its recipients:​

• A grant ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 for one academic year.

• For two-year Master's programs, students may receive an additional UTS amount equal to the first year's grant, provided they meet the academic progress requirements:

• An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year.

Scholarship Levels

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a (provisional) admission letter for one of the eligible UT Master's programs for the 2025/2026 academic year.

• Have a valid UT student number.

• Meet the English language proficiency requirements:

• IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in speaking.

• TOEFL iBT score of 90 overall, with at least 20 in speaking.

• Belong to the top 5-10% of their class academically.

• Comply with the conditions for obtaining a Dutch entry visa (if applicable).

• Not be eligible for a Dutch study loan.
